PLTW - Fluid Power Challenge Twenty four Project Lead the Way students participated in Fluid Power engineering training last Friday at MSOE. These students will participate in December in a fluid power competition at MSOE. They will compete against teams from other Wisconsin and Illinois schools. The competition is allowing students to apply their own creativity to their understanding of engineering processes to solve a problem. Their engineering challenge on Friday was to build a ramp powered by compressed air. All six of Fritsche's teams succeeded in building ramps! They enjoyed it and are now practicing for the challenge of designing a structure which uses fluid power to move objects. These pictures show our Fritsche Project Lead the Way students at work (but they sure make it look like fun!) ![]() ![]() |

New Technology at Fritsche As part of a major upgrade by the Milwaukee Public Schools and with grants from P&H Mining, Fritsche has seen some major technology changes over the summer.
A large grant from P&H Mining allowed Fritsche to become part of the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) program. Room 131 was rebuilt into a state of the art lab for PLTW.
Our Multicom computer lab in 134 received all new computers over the summer. Teacher Al Hunley now has powerful computers for teaching multimedia skills to his FAVE students.
The 119 computer lab was completely redone over the summer. New computers and desks provide a great environment in which to work. This is a general school lab that teachers may check out for class use. |
